symmetrical, pendant flowers are red purple (RHS 63A) changing to silvery white, flushed with a purple red (RHS 78B) at the base. McMillan & Horobin (page 109) cite the overall color as a variable ruby ranging from RHS 60A to RHS 64A. Flower length is 5.7 - 6.4 cm. with a diameter of 7.6 cm. Pink filaments support greyish, pollen coated anthers. A dark magenta-red style with dark magenta-pink stigma extends well beyond the anthers.
