dark mauve flowers have white petal bases and lower throats suffusing to mauve pink lower centers. There are breaks of this mauve pink streaking into upper darker areas. Petals are wide, elliptical with pointed tips. Basal petals are smaller and narrower than upper petals. Tubes are white. Stamens are white flushed with mauve pink. Style is long with a light magenta-purple stigma held well beyond the anthers.
