J. Labouret, Monographie de la Famille des Cactées: 422; McM&H 1995: 56, 93 | two forms were known to exist under the Aurantiacum pseudonym. One was a pure truncata type and the other x buckleyi type. Buckley (1868) referred to the plant as E. truncatum aurantiacum. Earlier mention was made by the French botanist, Jacques Labouret (1853). |
