Meier 1995: 17; E.B. Hoare Notes: B1-3flat to 4 angled phylloclades varying from small to large with deep purple edging. Brownish bristles present in all areoles with the longest bristles present in the linear (apical) areole. Differs from 'Pink Star' having more rounded petal tips on a smaller segmented plant (E.B. Hoare). Origin is possibly USA or maybe a commercial renaming of 'China Doll' or 'China Pink' (Meier).
