Meier 1995: 18–19this is an unknown hybrid received from Köhres Nursery, Erzhausen, Germany, which in turn was received from France, hence its name. Phylloclade segments are evenly notched. It was propagated under the name 'France'. This cultivar was earlier distributed as 'No. 18'. Later E. Meier discovered the plant was highly similar to and possibly the same as 'Evita'.
