| funnel to star-shaped flowers are pale carmine violet with deeper throats and reverses. Flower length is 4 cm., width is 6 cm. Petals are lanceolate to sagittate with acute tips. Frontal view petal count is 13. Pistil is pale carmine violet with 4 thin white stigma lobes. Filaments are carmine violet incurving with anthers held tight to the pistil. Ovary is 1 cm. pale apple green, 6 ribs with a funnel shape. Petal pattern is interesting with 5 frontal petals, 5 second row petals. Between these these are 3 smaller - all visible from the frontal view. Behind these are 3 smaller petals and 3 sepals. Less floriferous than 'Prairie Rosea'. |
