exhibit a carmine-red margin suffusing to bright red centres with a faint orange flush. Petals are elliptic with acute apexes. Apical petals are larger than the basal petals. Tube is pinkish white. Style is magenta red with a fuchsia red stigma held well above the anthers. White stamens carry anthers coated with cream colored pollen. Flower is unusual and striking.
