orange red with a paler, more yellowish base and mid stripe to face.Flowers are 6 cm. in length, 7 - 8 cm. in width. Petals are oblanceolate with pointed, acute tips. Petal count numbers 20. Pistil is orange yellow becoming orange red toward the tip with 7 white stigma lobes. Filaments are orange yellow becoming pale mauve near the anthers. The 0.8 cm., bronze-green, star-shaped ovary has 5 ribs.

Meier 1995: 18; E.B. Hoare Notes: B1-5phylloclades are matt green, large and narrow. with 3 - 4 areoles per side in shallow, rounded crenations. Segments average 8 cm. in length, 3 cm. in width. Linear (apical) areoles are rounded. White to light yellow-brown bristles are present in all areoles. Possibly the same as Johnson Cactus Garden's 'Scarlett O'Hara' which according to Johnson, was a R. rosea F2 hybrid (Meier).
