red flowers are 4 cm. in length, 4 cm. in width. Petals are narrow with acute tips. Frontal view petal count is 17. Pistil is red with 5 white stigma lobes. Filaments are pale red. Ovary is 1 cm., 5 ribbed, bronze-green.

Meier 1995: 18; E.B. Hoare: B1-6large crenate phylloclades are wider at the top, 8 cm. in length and 3 cm. in width. Lateral areoles number 3 - 4 per side with few bristles within the small crenations. Linear areole has short, light brown to whitish bristles. The phylloclade apexes differ from the Rhipsalidopsis norm having two rudimentary dentations at each apical end and a rounded center. From the same cross as R. 'Cherry Ripe'.
