pinkyeslarge to extra-large pendant flowers are a vivid salmon pink shading to scarlet red. Petals have white bases and throats suffusing to pink in the lower centers. The majority of of the flowers are zygomorphic with exception, some exhibit a short tube and symmety. These occur on the same plant. Tubes on the zygomorphic flowers are white suffused with pink. Style is purple red with a magenta-pink stigma extending past the pale yellow pollen coated anthers. Stamens are white becoming pale translucent pink in the basal third. Flowers are very striking.

XScrenateSRL Registration extra small, scalloped segments are variable sizes (lengths 0.5 to 3.0 cm., widths less than 1 cm. up to to 1.5 cm.). Areole notches are very shallow and number 2 - 3 per marginal edge. Lateral notches can have 1-2 small bristles. Segment apexes have small bristles. The registrant's father has grown this plant for approximately 60 years years. The registrant did not recall if this particular plant was from a slip or grown from seed by her father Nelson Volpato or was obtained as a cutting. It has been in their family for a long time.
