upper petals pale silvery carmen-rose centers to deep carmen-rose edges. Lower petals pale to deep carmen with magenta-pink overlay. Flower length 6.5 cm. Width 3.5 cm., Tube length 3.5 cm. Ovary receptacle 0.7 cm., four ribbed, amber bronze. Flowers mid June to late July (Australia). Definitely not a pale lavender. (E.B. Hoare). Note: 1) S. x buckleyi 'FF' is a redder hue with four angled ovary receptacles. 2) cv. 'D2' is larger, bright magenta pink with silvery magenta-pink petal faces. 3) cv. 'Pale Pink' lacks the pale silvery carmen-rose face to the upper petals.
