McM&H. described the flower as cardinal red, known as 'Roseum' in Britain. The 1977 Wisely Trials described the flower as RHS 50B flushed with RHS 50A changing to silvery white flushed red purple RHS 66D in the lower half (possible temperature sensitivity). Flowers length is 5.7 cm., diameter is about 4.5 cm.
