buds are ruby to deep carmine red opening to deep rose or ruby red. Matte effect on the flower face, sheeny reverse. Flowers are 3 cm. in length, 4 cm. in width. Petals are obovate with acute tips. Frontal view petal count is 18. Pistil is deep ruby red with six long white stigma lobes. Filaments are deep rose red with paler magenta-pink tips. Ovary is 1 cm. 5 ribbed, bronze reddy green on a rotate daisy to funnel shape.
