bright red. Flowers are 5 cm. in length, 4 cm. in width. Petals are narrow with acute tips. Frontal view petal count is 13. Pistil bright red with 7 white stigma lobes. Filaments red violet. Ovary is 1.2 cm. 5 ribbed, green with reddish brown ribs, on a rotate semi-open form.

E.B. Hoare Notes: B1-15deep green to yellow green phylloclades have a reddish brown edge. Segments have 4 - 5 areoles per side within rounded crenations. Faint bristling in lateral areoles, longer in linear areole. Note: smaller and different color from cv. 'Russelliana' [Hoare].
