carmine-violet flowers have bright magenta marginal lines on the basal half. Lower petals are paler carmine violet. Upper petals are a round spatulate form with acute to obtuse pointed tips. Lower petals are spatulate with acute tips. Pale silvery carmine-violet tube is 3.5 cm. in length. Filaments are silvery pale carmine violet. Flower length is 8 cm. Frontal width is 3 cm. and lower width 4.5 cm. Ovary is 1 cm. faintly angled. Australian blooming season is mid May to mid June (early to mid season).
