a bright reddish purple, just slightly lighter than the similar Cobmag. This deep color lightens gradually from the lower center to the lower throat and base which are purple pink. The short tube is pinkish white with a wide oval opening. Petal apexes end in blunt points. Stamens are a pale, purple-pink tint. Style and stigma is bright reddish purple. Flower count is 1-2 per flowering phylloclade. Bloom season is early. Ovaries have 4 ridges. Purple-pink buds are bluntly rounded at the 1 cm. length. |
