		petals are bright cherry red suffusing to purple-pink lower centers and bases. Lower petals are broad, rounded. Upper petals are broad, elliptical with blunt pointed tips. Stigma carried among anthers. Zygomorphic, 7 cm. long flowers exhibit petal recurve. Buds are bright cherry pink. Flower color can take colors like bronze, olive green, red and purple at different stages. Purple stamens have white anteriors, style is red, temperature sensitive.
