blooms are mauve to pale red violet. Flower is 5 cm. in length, 6 cm. in width. Petals are spatulate with pointed tips. Frontal view petal count is 13. Pistil is pale mauve with 5 white stigma lobes. Filaments are pale red violet. Ovary is 0.8 cm., 5 ribs, apple green with a rotate to funnel shape.

Segments have a faint purplish edging, 3 - 4 lateral areoles per side are lightly bristled within rounded crenations. The linear (apical) areole has 1 cm. long yellowish bristles. New growth is orange hued to yellow green.
