blooms are mauve to pale red violet. Flower is 5 cm. in length, 6 cm. in width. Petals are spatulate with pointed tips. Frontal view petal count is 13. Pistil is pale mauve with 5 white stigma lobes. Filaments are pale red violet. Ovary is 0.8 cm., 5 ribs, apple green with a rotate to funnel shape.

Meier 1995 19; E.B. Hoare Notes: B1-7flat to 3 angle segments are 4 cm. in length and 2 cm. in width. Bases are narrow. Segments have a faint purplish edging, 3 - 4 lateral areoles per side are lightly bristled within rounded crenations. The linear (apical) areole has 1 cm. long yellowish bristles. New growth is orange hued to yellow green.
