light red with fuchsia or magenta edges. Funnel to wheel shaped flowers are 4.5 cm. in length and 6 cm. in width. Petals are obovate with pointed tips. Frontal view petal count is 14. Pistil is pale yellowish red to pale mauve with 7 large stigma lobes. Filaments are pale yellowish red darkening to pale mauve at the top. Ovary is 0.8 cm., 5 angled, yellow green with a red-bronze hue. Form is funnel-shaped to star-shaped. Flower is similar to R. gaertneri in form.
