| color unknown | yes | small satiny, light dusty pink-orange petals with little reflex make up small open face flowers. Lower half of petals exhibit dark, pencil-thin, orange-red margins. Pastel pink-orange tubes are shorter than normal. Stamens have white anthers lacking evident pollen. Stigma is stout, dark pinkish red, not extending past anther heads. Unusual style appears to have four sides. Some flowers carry a second smaller style and stigma. Ovary receptacle is pale whitish green with 4 prominent ribs. Flowers appear almost symmetrical when first opening with lower basal petals gradually reflexing. Plant appears to have a small growth habit and is a late season bloomer. Flower buds are either single or double on segment ends. |

| XS | angled | ICRA Registration | extra small to small exotica type segments are light to light medium green with either 3 or 4 ridged margins carrying 1- 2, more often 2, marginal areoles per ridge, no marginal areole bristles present. Apical bristles absent. Pod parent for this cultivar was a noid S. x exotica with a very short flower tube and dark cherry red petals. Stigmas or stamens were often absent. Stamens, if present lacked anthers and/or pollen. This noid was well circulated in the U.K., Europe and abroad and may still be available. I received mine in 2016 from my late friend, Caroline Shotton in the U.K. It took three seasons of repeated pollinations before a viable pod was finally produced. Little Flamingo Dragon is from the same cross as Little Coral Dragon. |
