| McM&H describe this cv. as a true Christmas red with broad petals based on the 1967 Johnson Catalog. Des Ellery described this cv. as bright purplish red. Petals are elliptical with acute tips. Bases and throats are satiny white faintly flushed with pink. Petal centers are bright pinkish red extending to apexes suffusing purplish red along margins. Tube is white flushed with pink. Stamens are white. A purple-red style has a dark pink-purple stigma emerging just past the anther cluster. |
