flowers are short tubed resembling a Rhipsalidopsis flower. Unlike many of the short tube doubles, the petal count on this cultivar is normal. Petals are elliptic with a pointed apex. Sides of petals have a tendency to roll up causing the petals to cup. Stamens are white. Styles can be absent or extremely short and hidden among the stamen bases. Temperature sensitive. Pods have some ridging. Mature buds about to open will have a chartreuse green tint (near mature, open flowers have a rose bud likeness. Flowers and petals lengthen with maturity).
Clades sizePhylloclades formReferenceComments
SRL Teamphylloclades are quite round and wide with 3 forward facing, almost rudimentary dentations along each marginal side and small shallow axils. This Mitsuhashi cultivar is possibly a chemically induced mutation. 'Thor Wild Cactus White' has a very different phylloclade compared to 'Petit Diamond'. 'Thor Wild Cactus White' has segments similar to the other Thor Wild Cactus colors. It also has a long style that is not hidden in the stamens like the style of 'Petit Diamond'.
