flowers display narrowish, acutely pointed, overlapping petals. Colour is a bright, soft mauve pink, darker on the margins and tip, suffusing lighter pink toward the center. The creamy white stigma has six lobes. In a Johan de Vries advertisement photo, Purple Pride appeared similar to ‘Evita’ with the exceptions Evita's flowers were a slightly darker pink with narrower petals. Blooms also appeared more star-shaped. Purple Pride buds are hot fuchsia pink and sharply pointed.
