pale orange to orange red at petal tips with deep orange red reverse. Flower length is 5 cm. width is 6 cm. with narrow petals and long pointed tips. Frontal petal count is 16. Pistil is orange red with long, pale orange-white stigma lobes. Incurved filaments are pale orange-white. Ovary is 1.1 cm. reddish amber with 4 - 5 ridges on a semi-open funnel shape.

Meier 1995: 22; E.B. Hoare Notes: B1-13matte mid green segments are basically without bristles, with 4 - 5 areoles per side within evenly rounded crenations. Semi-rounded linear and some lateral areoles have very fine bristles. New growth is reddish. Note: larger flower than cv 'Red Elephant'.
