		broad, cerise-pink, elliptical petals are darker in the upper portions becoming lighter toward the centers. Bases are white. Tubes are white. Petal apexes are sharply pointed. Basal petals are more muted. Named for its bud resemblance to those of roses. The dark red style is long with the magenta-red stigma carried well above the anthers.
