white bases suffuse light lavender pink shading to rose-violet margins and apexes. Upper petals lanceolate, sometimes exhibiting a tendency to roll under along their margins. Basal petals are elliptic. Flowers are large. Tube is long and white. Stamens are white. The long style and stigma are deep magenta red with the stigma carried well past the anthers. Ovary receptacle is slightly ridged.
