upper petals are pale silvery magenta pink deepening to magenta-pink edges. Lower petals are magenta pink to bright magenta. Filaments and tube are pale silvery magenta pink. Petals are spatulate with acute to pointed tips. Flower length 6 cm. Upper width 4 cm., lower width 4.5 - 5 cm. Tube length 2.5 cm. Ovary receptacle 1 cm., five to six angled or ribbed with an areole or two, bright green to yellow green. Flowers are normal bell shaped with bright magenta keels stripes on upper petals. Mid season bloomer, mid May to mid July (Australia). Due to the blunt bud shape, there is some crimpling of upper petal tips. Bud changes shape from round like a Turk turban to a blunt bullnose, then to round pointed ends before opening. Color of buds is soft pink, almost white, darkening as they approach opening. Paler than 'Turk's Turban' [Johnson].
