ventral petals recurve, dorsal and side petals open. Petal size tiers with apical petals the smallest, increasing in size down the flower length. Basal petals smaller than mid-length petals. Magenta-pink stigma sits among the yellow anthers. Tube is silvery white. Lower inner throat of flower is silvery white. Flower color is darker along the marginal edge. Color begins fading about the fifth day. Flower is slightly smaller than normal, but appears large because of the small phylloclades.
