PBRphylloclades are light to medium green. Margins less prone to developing red margins. Second order phylloclades are short and narrow. Pawnee Spirit has a weak tendency to form a wing on some phylloclades. These are small to very small with sparse bristling at the axils. Growth habit is horizontal becoming pendulous with age. 'Pawnee Spirit, while similar to the cultivar 'Gemini', differs in having larger bud and flower size, and more intense flower coloration ( RHS 73B -73C as compared to Gemini's RHS 73C-73D). 'Pawnee Spirit' is not as prone to red phylloclade margins.
