pale mauve pink. Flower length is 4 cm., width is 3 cm. Petals are spatulate with obtuse tips. Frontal view petal count is 16. Pistil is pale mauvish pink with 5 white stigma lobes. Filaments are bright violet incurving at the top to surround the pistil. Ovary is1 cm. with 5 ribs, pale greenish yellow on a funnel shape.

Meier 1995: 23; E.B. Hoare Notes: B1-18 segments are yellowish green, small, many sided (2, 3 & 5), round, angular or flat to 3 cm. in length with reddish brown edging. There are 3 - 4 small, black areoles per side with 4 mm. long dark bristles in the linear areole and shorter bristles in the lateral areoles.
