petals are red to reddish brown at base and mid stripe with a bright purple edge. Flowers are 2.5 cm. in length, 4 cm. in width. Petals are obovate with cuspidate tips. Frontal view petal count is 12. Pistil is red to brown with 4 white stigma lobes. Filaments are bright purple. Ovary is 0.7 cm. bronze green with 4 ridges.

E.B. Hoare Notes: B1-3-4small segments are 2 - 4 sided, with purple edging. Fine bristles are present in most areoles. Note: this cultivar is smaller than the species R. rosea and has a completely different flower color. Flower color also differs from R. 'China Pink' [Johnson].
