| | McM&H description: roseine purple, RHS 68A with a whitish tube, large and well formed. B.L. Cobia description: Bloom length 6.9–8.2 cm., width 6.1–7.6 cm. Petal width 2.2–4.6 cm. Upper petals pale carmine violet to rhodamine with small silvery throats. Lower petals edged pale carmine violet with large, very pale silvery carmine-violet centers. E.B. Hoare description: Upper petals obovate with pointed tips. Lower petals sagittate with acute tips. Tube is silvery pale carmine violet. Filaments silvery white with faint pale red violet tinge. Flower length 8 cm. Upper width 5.5 cm., lower width 6 cm. Tube length 3.5 cm. Ovary receptacle 1 cm., four angled, mid green to amber green, paler at base. Flower is normal winged shape. Blooms mid May to mid July (Australia). | |
