lavender rose with a carmine flush. Flowers are 2 cm. in length, 5 cm. in width. Petals are elliptic with acute to pointed tips. Pistil pale lavender rose with 4 - 5 white, sometimes twisting stigma lobes. Lobes are 2mm. in length. Filaments deep carmine rose. Ovary is 0.7 cm. with 5 ribs, bronze amber on a roate star shape.

Meier 1995: 22; E.B. Hoare Notes: B1-14segments have deep red violet edging, 3 - 4 evenly spaced areoles per side within small crenations. Segments narrow at bases tapering out to almost spatulate with semi-rounded linear areoles. Linear areole and lateral areoles have yellow-brown bristles.
