petals have bright red-violet bases and throats suffusing deep orange red edges. Upper petals are elliptic with pointed tips, lower petals are elliptic to small spatulate with acute pointed tips. Tube is 3 cm. in length and bright red violet. Filaments are silvery white with a faint red-violet blush. Flower length is 6.5 cm. with upper width 4.5 cm. and lower width 3 cm. Ovary receptacle is 1 cm. with 5 thin ribs. Normal shape flowers. Australian flowering season, late June to late July (mid season bloomer). An unusual bicolour combination.
