Walter Widmann described his cultivar as cherry red with a lighter center and lighter colored tube. Petals are broad with acute tips. Bases and throats are pinkish white, suffusing pinkish red centers flushed with a tint of orange. Margins and apexes are bright cherry red. Arching tubes are satiny white flushed with pink. Stamens are white tinged with pink in their upper regions with pink pollen coated anthers. Style is magenta red with a magenta pink stigma. Ovary receptacle is bronzy green and ridged.
