petals orange red with silvery white throats and magenta-pink edges to base half of upper petals. Lower petals display smaller centers. Tube pale silvery magenta pink. Stigma lobes open, often get caught up with crumpled tips of upper petals. Upper petals small, spatulate with cuspidate tips. Lower petals lanceolate with obtuse to cuspidate tips. Flower length 7 cm. Upper width 4.5 cm., lower width 3.5 cm. Tube length 3 cm. Ovary receptacle 0.7 cm., four angled to ribbed, reddish yellow hue. Normal shaped blooms. Flowering from early June to early August (Australia).
