upper petals are pale silvery carmine violet with paler center stripes. Lower petals slightly paler carmine violet. Upper petals are lanceolate with pointed tips. Lower petals are sagittate to spatulate with acute tips. Tube and filaments silvery white with very pale carmine violet flush. Pollen pale reddish grey. Flower length 6.5 cm. Upper petals 4 cm., lower petals 5 cm. Tube 2.5 cm. Ovary receptacle 1 cm. upturned, pear shape, yellow to yellowish green. Flower are small, normal shape. Flowering June and July (Australia). Des Ellery described it as a small lavender flower.
